Have a read about our plans and what we are trying to do
The building and fields are secured for community use, to improve well-being and sports participation. It is now for us all to agree how to use the facilities
Contact Us if you have any ideas or want to get involved.
We have made a number of grant applications in to: Football Foundation, Rugby League Football, Football Stadium Fund, National Sports Centre Trust, Calderdale Community Foundation and Sports England to cover the cost of our development plans for Forest Cottage.
In brief, these plans involve:
- Building 2 new changing rooms
- Renovating 2 dilapidated changing rooms
- Creating referee and officials changing rooms
- Providing disabled facilities and a lift
- Creating a Youth Hub
- Improving access to the building and surrounding area
We will find out whether we have been successful by the end of June 2019.
Since the Foundation accepted community management in 2012 it has achieved its first half £million investment to improve the outdoor facilities with pitch improvement and the addition of a floodlit 3G multi-use games area and informal kick about area.
