I started off as a parent on the sideline watching my daughter playing for the cougars. A few months later I was asked to manage the team. It fills me with pride watching my team develop and improve each week.
The team and the kids as individuals have gained new skills and now are showing this on the pitch. I am now a FA Level 1 coach which has helped me learn and gain more knowledge on how to coach my young team.
When the team first started, the players were at the development stage and in their first season, you could see they had little experience in football. Last season they took to the game like duck to water and went from scoring 1 goal a season to scoring 72 goals last
season... their development has improved so much on the pitch and their performance working as a team is amazing.
Ovenden West Riding is an amazing club.... the coaches in the other age groups are always there for advice. I am so
proud to be part of this amazing club.
Training tends to be on a Saturday.
